May 2015 Birchbox

I am a little late on the bandwagon, but I finally subscribed to Birchbox after watching endless amounts of 'unboxing' videos on YouTube! To start I was immediately intrigued by Birchbox because  of the variety of products that you receive each month; if they send you the same product twice I heard they will replace that item for you too.  I also enjoy that the items you receive are personalized for you based on a profile that you fill out when you subscribe.  Birchbox is only $10 a month, making it a great way to test out products for cheap rather than buying full sized products, which you could end up hating and wasting money on.

I subscribed during the May period, but because I subscribed late in the month my box was not to arrive until the beginning of June.  June 2 felt like a longtime coming to wait for my first box; I literally counted down the days until my package was to arrive! Originally I was supposed to wait for my friend, Makenzie, to get her first box too.  Unfortunately, her box was delayed until June 9th.  Being a great, however, she gave me the green light to open mine up without her.

The suspense was killing me all day at work, while I constantly thought about the goodies that were being held in my mailbox! 4:00 pm rolled around, which meant my shift was finally over!  I ran back to my room after getting the mail, so I could quickly open my box!  My first unboxing was even more exciting because it was also the first video I uploaded onto my YouTube channel Marisa Paige. 

After opening the box I was thoroughly impressed with all the products that I received from first glance.  My box included:

Nelson Beverly Hills Moisture Healing Mask

I have previously owned the 'Whish Flawless Swipes', which is a great product for people who suffer from ingrown hairs.  I am lucky enough not have that problem when shaving, so I may give these to a friend.  Not only is this a great product, but I was very impressed with the amount of product I received.  Four individual packets were included, which is a nice amount to test and product and see if you like it. 

The rest of the products I have not owned before, but I have heard of the 'Cargo' blush from previous Birchbox unboxing videos as well as from Ipsy unboxing videos.  I was very excited to receive the color 'Los Cabos' as I find it to be a great dupe for NARS Orgasm blush.  The size of this product was surprisingly really big for a 'sample' sized product and a little goes a long way! Additionally, this is a waterproof blush made perfect for the summer here in Arizona.  

As for the last three products I am very excited to try them out, hopefully I will like them enough to repurchase them at some point!  As I try out the different products that I receive in my boxes I will keep you all up to date with detailed reviews on each of them.
