Today I thought I would share with you my 'Summer 2015: Foundation + Concealer Routine'. This may seem odd that this is specifically for the summer months, but I have noticed recently how different my foundation routine is now compared to the other seasons.
Arizona is extremely hot starting mid June, which makes me want to keep my foundation routine as light as possible. Hot weather plus a heavy foundation does not mix well... I have filmed my everyday foundation plus concealer routine incase any of you are interested in lightening up your routine.
The products I have been gravitating towards this past month are much more lightweight than normal. I have recently rediscovered how much I love my MaryKay Matte Wear Foundation. This foundation is perfect for the summer months as it helps absorb the oils that are created throughout the day. Additionally, this foundation is lightweight, but still has a great coverage (medium to build-able). As for my concealer, I have been in love with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer because it is full coverage, but it is also easy to blend out.
The powder products that I use are the Anastasia Beverly Hills 'banana' and 'vanilla' powder to set the under eye area as well as the Too Faced 'Primed and Poreless' pressed powder. I always use the Anastasia powdered year round because they do a good job of brightening the under eye area. However, I have switched to the Too Faced powder this summer rather than my normal MAC powder. I like that the Too Faced powder sets my foundation without adding a heavy extra layer of makeup for the summer.
