Well, I am here to tell you that it IS the hottest college application on the market! Arizona State University is one of the lucky 10 campuses to launch Happinin.
Happinin is a college focused application that takes applications such as Facebook, Yik Yak, Snapchat and Instagram, and combines them into one program. It has many unique features such as bulletins, channels, your yearbook and anonymous postings. Events can be created public (share with anyone) or private (share only with your friends). Not only does this app let you see what is happening on your specific campus, but it also allows you to see what is happening on campuses around the country. Now that you are intrigued and I have your attention, download the app! Seriously... Stop reading and follow this link to get the app: Click to download
Now that you have Happinin, you might be thinking, "what the f***, how do I use this?". I am here to break down the application, making it user friendly!
CHANNELS
After signing up, you will see the screen 'channels' with four to five subcategories.
The top left hand corner shows a person icon, where you will be able to see people in your community that you can friend and follow. The top right hand corner, allows users to suggest a channel for their campus.
General
Here you will see @Trending, @Me, and @Friends.
@Trending will show you all the pictures and videos that have activity on them such as someone liking or commenting on your picture. @Me will show you all the content that you have published to the app. Finally, @Friends will show you all the content your friends have published. This sounds pretty easy so far.

Blue Dots Show New Content is on Channel |
Here you will see @Rivlary and @CampusFounders.
As a user of the application, you will be able to view both of these channels. However, you will only be able to post to the @Rivalry channel. ASU has a special rivalry with U of A (obviously, we will win the launch contest). On the @CampousFounders channel, you will find content posted by the four campus founders. Simple, right?

This portion will show you events that are going on around campus and off campus! You will see the event @WMO and @ChapterShenanigans on this screenshot. Both of these channels are temporary that go with an event happening. The channel @WMO is public (open to everyone at ASU), while @ChapterShenanigans is private (only my invited friends can see content).

Campus Locations
This section is personalized to your campus! Some of the popular hangouts at ASU will be located here, such as the MU, Hayden Library, The Cottages, and Mill Ave. Any ASU user can post to these channels, which can also be viewed by anyone who goes to ASU. This section is great to see what is popular. Do you want to know if Hayden is crowded? Check Happinin before you go. Do you want to know if people are hanging out at The Cottages pool? Check Happinin!
News
The news channels can be seen by anyone, on any campus that is using Happinin. Some sections include @Fitness, @FoodPorn, and @SportsCenter. While there is not much going on these channels now, in the future, we hope to have mini segments. Let us know if you want to be featured!

The campus section is located with the push pin icon on the bottom of the screen. This area shows you different events, bulletins, and deals on your campus. These can be for the present and future. Additionally, you can see all the announcements or just the bulletins you created under the 'mine' tab.
The top right corner has a plus symbol,
which allows the user to add their own
bulletin!
CAMERA
The next icon is located in the middle of the bottom of the screen. This feature allows the user to take a new picture or video, or upload a picture they already have on their phone.
Once the picture is taken there is an option to post as yourself or anonymous. To change post to anonymous, click the 'eye' icon to look closed, then press the arrow. Next, pick up to 3 channels to post your content and add a caption! Congratulations!! You have completed your first post!
If you post media anonymously, you can later change to reveal your identity by clicking the eye icon. Additionally, people can ask for you the reveal your identity.
ACTIVITY
This section shows you information such as who follows you and likes your content.
Finally, we are at the last section, your profile. In this section, you can find your profile picture, class, major, quote, friends, and followers.
You can also find the Yearbook section, which allows you to save certain content to your profile This content will only be seen by you, which also saves room on your camera roll!
Well that is about it! I hope this was helpful and makes Happinin more user friendly for yourself!
