Deep Purple Smokey Eye

The school year is starting, which means that festivities are starting too! Whether you are in Greek life going to date parties and formals or you are going on dates, this is a great look to create.  Each time I have recreated this look, I have received dozens of compliments.  I find that it is super simple to do, which is perfect for the average person.

I instantly fell in love with this MAC eyeshadow, 'rich core'.  It is perfect to create a really smokey eye because of the deep purple shade with a hint of shimmer.  When playing with this color, it was super easy to blend out.  Not only was this color easy to use, but it also had little fallout.  I enjoy pairing this eye color with browns in the crease area, this helps create a smooth blended out look.  I wanted to make this eye look the star of the show, so I paired it with a baby pink lip.  I personally enjoy a smokey eye with a nude or light lip.  I believe this intensifies the eyes even more because it does not take away from the smokey eye.
